It is a delight to share good news, and our good news is that People’s United Community Foundation has awarded CfAL with a $5,000 grant. The grant will be used to help sustain our Technology Cascade & Training Program for parents who have children attending Fair Haven School in New Haven, CT.
The program gives computer training, gently-computers and technical support to disadvantaged parents of students in the impoverished neighborhoods of Fair Haven in New Haven. Our goals are to extend learning beyond the classroom, to increase sixty parents’ involvement in their children’s education, and to help eliminate the technology gap that exists for disadvantaged families, by providing knowledge, skills and renewed hope.
On behalf of the CfAL Board of Directors, staff and volunteers, we are honored and thankful to People’s United Community Foundation for awarding us with the grant.
People’s United Community Foundation and CfAL are working together to build a better future for children and their families.
